KAPILA PROGRAM
The Kalam Program for IP Literacy and Awareness (KAPILA) provides financial assistance to Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) in India for filing and securing patents.

To promote intellectual property literacy and awareness among students and faculty of HEIs.
To encourage innovation and entrepreneurship by supporting the filing and securing of patents.
Funding:
KAPILA reimburses 50% of the total application cost, including filing fees and examination fees.
The maximum amount that an institute can receive per year is ₹1,12,000/-.
The program supports a maximum of 40 patent applications per year per institute.
Eligibility:
The program is open to all HEIs recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) or the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Application process:
HEIs need to submit an online application form along with supporting documents.
The application is reviewed by an expert committee.
